Aside from having a Popeye’s chicken and a direct ferry to Egypt, there wasn’t much going for it. We walked the city at night, browsed the open air markets, and I laughed at the ridiculous pewter costume jewelery they were trying to sell as real silver with real stones. It was very much a tourist trap. They even had people trying to sell camel rides in the city. They did have a good ice cream place, though.The second day, we were given the choice of snorkling a different site or going to Wadi Rum. Gosh, that was a hard decision. I was the first one in the cab to go. Dr. Attum went with us, and I promised not to touch anything of his. The cab ride was insane.

Go to a Thrift Store, or a “surplus store” and get any bits of uniform that suit your fancy and you can also buy any of medals, & ribbons as “costume jewelery” or you can check a PAWN SHOP for the real thing, some veterans have had to pawn their medals in order to survive… (sad really)
